MB2 Raceway’s October iPad Giveaway winner!

Tired of the Monday blues? Ben Nitka of Thousand Oaks was too until he received a surprising call Monday evening from our Marketing Team at MB2 Raceway. He answered the phone with a typical Monday “Hello?” sounding as though he was half asleep. When we identified ourselves and why we were calling, that tone quickly changed. We let him know that he was the winner of our October iPad giveaway, and as many of us would respond he said “No way, you’re kidding!”. We later learned that he thought we were calling about an application he had recently turned in, but he surely wasn’t upset when we told him about his brand new iPad he would receive. MB2 Raceway’s Custom Kart Contest Winner!

Erick Olivares was one of our MB2 Raceway’s Custom Kart Contest winners for our Sylmar location. Olivares had to opportunity to come in Friday night to reveal his designed cart. His custom kart featured a slim and stylish red and white design. He even had the chance to sign the kart as well as race it around the track a few times. Check out the pictures below!!

Race for an Ipad at MB2 Raceway!!

For the entire month of October when you come into race at either of our MB2 Raceway locations you will be automatically entered in a drawing to win a free Apple Ipad. The more times you come into race the more likely you are to win! The winner will be chosen from a random drawing of entries at the end of the month. MB2 Raceway’s Custom Kart Contest Winner!

Thousand Oaks – September 26, 2012 -

Larkin Tyler was one of our MB2 Raceway’s Custom Kart Contest winners for our Thousand Oaks location. Larkin had to opportunity to come in last Friday night to reveal his designed kart. His kart featured a stylish jet design complete with  teeth and rockets. Larkin also had the chance to sign and race his kart around the track even beating his fastest lap time of 23.07.

Congratulations again to Larkin and the winner for our Sylmar location Erick Olivares. We will post on Erick’s custom kart as soon as he is able to unveil it.

Cash Wednesdays at MB2 Raceway!!

THOUSAND OAKS/SYLMAR – SEPTEMBER 17, 2012 –

MB2 Raceway is proud to present Cash Wednesdays starting this week at both our Thousand Oaks and Sylmar locations. Come in and race every Wednesday to be automatically entered to win cash prizes! MB2 will tally up the races from the day and the racers with the top three fastest lap times will be our Cash Wednesday winners. First place takes home $150, second place $100, and third place $50. Both our locations are open from 12pm to 10pm on Wednesdays. Races will take place all day long so come on in and race for your chance to win big at MB2!

MB2 Raceway’s Record to Race Event!!

THOUSAND OAKS/SYLMAR AUGUST 20, 2012 - 

Imagine racing down one of MB2 Raceway’s professionally designed ¼ mile courses at an upward of 45 miles an hour in one of their high-speed, Italian-engineered karts. Now imagine getting the chance to do it again for FREE! MB2 Raceway wants to get a firsthand look into some of the exciting racing experiences their guests encounter while at MB2 with their new Record to Race event! Participants in the Record to Race event will receive a free race compliments of MB2 Raceway!

Participate in MB2 Raceway’s Record to Race event by recording your racing experience at MB2 and then uploading the video to YouTube. Post the YouTube video link on the MB2 Raceway Facebook page and finish it off by describing your experience.

Step foot into one of MB2 Raceway’s locations and be instantly engulfed by the professional racing atmosphere complete with a massive indoor track, actual racing cars, and tons of racing memorabilia. MB2 Raceway’s Back to School Bash!

SYLMAR/THOUSAND OAKS – AUGUST 7, 2012 – Are you dreading going back to school?!  Have some last minute summer fun at MB2 Raceway before you go!

MB2 will be hosting a Back to School Bash on Monday August 13th at both our Thousand Oaks and Sylmar locations. Come in and celebrate the last few days of summer with $10 races (Regularly $23) and tons of exciting giveaways including fun prizes for race winners! After your race keep the party going! We have lots of other fun entertainment and activities including pool tables, dart boards, arcades and gaming systems for you and your friends! Get over the back to school blues with MB2′s Back to School Bash!

The Back to School Bash will take place on Monday August 13, 2012 from 12pm to 10pm. Racers of all ages are welcome however, racers under the age of 18 need a parent or legal guardian to sign a release of liability form. There is also a minimum height requirement of 48″ for junior karts and 57″ for adult karts.

MB2′s Summer Karting Kamp

SYLMAR/THOUSAND OAKS – August 6, 2012 -

Our Summer Karting Kamp Racers!

MB2 Raceway wrapped up its Summer Karting Kamp this week. All summer long kids got the opportunity to learn about kart operation, racing safety, avoiding track hazards, racing fundamentals, racing lines, trail breaking, passing, and mastering the MB2 track from our amazing instructors: Jimmy, Devin, Brooke and Billy from our Sylmar location and Jordan, Craig, Devon, and Jared from our Thousand Oaks location. The camp was a huge success and we had had some really wonderful feedback. All racers improved their lap times and had a blast while doing it!

We would like to thank all the kids and parents that signed up and participated in our Summer Karting Kamp! Below are a few pictures of last weeks camp!

Help us Shred Kids’ Cancer

SYLMAR/THOUSAND OAKS August 1, 2012 -

Shred Kids' Cancer Presenting Checks and Toys to Mattel Childrens Hospital!

MB2 Raceway is extremely proud to announce its partnership with Shred Kids’ Cancer to help the fight against childhood cancer. During the entire month of August, for every new person that “likes” the MB2 Raceway Facebook page, MB2 will donate one dollar to Shred Kids’ Cancer!

According to Jared Sheff, manager of MB2 Raceway’s Thousand Oaks location, “MB2 Raceway is honored to be supporting Shred Kids’ Cancer. This is a truly impressive charity because of its remarkable achievements and even more so when you find out that it is run by kids and was actually started by a 9-year-old. This is a great opportunity to show our support for kids in our own community and we are all looking forward to this partnership.”

Teagan Stedman, Chairman and Founder of Shred Kids’ Cancer added, “We are honored that MB2 Raceway is partnering with us in the fight against cancer.  We are excited about this partnership because MB2 will help us to expand pediatric cancer awareness and achieve our fundraising goals.”

Shred Kids’ Cancer is a 501c3 non-profit public charitable organization dedicated to serving the local community by offering a way for kids to help fight kids’ cancer and show peers, who may be suffering, that they are not alone. This organization provides young kids the opportunity to use their creativity and organizational skills (with the guidance of adults) to make a difference by raising funds to support research that focuses on improving the care, quality of life and survival rate of children with cancer.

Shred Kids’ Cancer primary activities are organizing local drives, fundraisers and events in the Thousand Oaks community. Their annual battle of the bands fundraiser “Shredfest” held at the House of Blues and their annual 5k run fundraiser “Rock the Run” coming up in October are two of their most profitable fundraisers.
